I just received the unit today. I have yet to try it out but I’m already unimpressed. One of the screws to hold the feet on was missing threads, damaged and stripped. Luckily, I own a tap and die set and was able to successfully re-thread the screw and repair the damage. Had I not been able to, the feet would not have been able to be tightened down. Quality control should have caught such an obvious defect before the product was even wrapped in plastic. Thoroughly inspect your radiator after you get it. I will update this review upon using it but these is my first impression of this radiator. 2nd review. I’m adding 1 star more for performance. We seem to have gotten a used unit although we paid full price for a brand new unit. The remote is white instead of black. But still works the same with this unit. On eco mode, the house stays warm at 71° when the temperature outside is 48°. Your mileage may vary based on how well your house is insulated, the condition of your roof (any leaks in your roof can cause dramatic heat loss etc), how efficient your windows are etc. All in all so far, it’s a pretty good unit. I’m a little unhappy that Amazon shipped us a used unit but one positive is we haven’t experienced the chemical smell that a new radiator puts off when first being used.

I have owned this heater through two winters. Works well and seems to be more efficient than my two 9″” 750-1500w ceramic space heaters. I use the Pelonis heater in my camper “bedroom” because it sits in a tight space and it puts out gentler steady heat. I set the heater on middle temp setting and (2nd) 1000w setting. I believe settings are 750w 1000w 1500w increments / pulls @ 15 amps on a circuit. !! See specs !!
This heater routinely keeps my 160 sqft camper tolerable @72 degrees with sub 32f temps outside.
I bought this exact Pelonis oil heater a second time 9/23. First heater still works like a champ! cheers

Warehouse original manufacturer box ripped, multiple puncture holes, inner plastic wrapping large tear hole.
So I removed from that box to check for potential damage to thin metal fins and oil leakage. Price total over 60.$ no remote bells or whistles. Hike price 30$ over last heater like this. Will plug in after letting oil settle, after standing upside down when delivered.

I bought this oil filled space heater and another equal in price because I have a faulty furnace. This one far exceeds the other one I bought so it’s value for the money is much higher. Wish I’d bought this one first, because I would have just bought a second one.

An older rental house with iffy wiring had most small portable space heaters tripping the circuit breakers. The Pelonis oil filled heater can be used at a lower wattage, actually three different settings, and it does not trip the circuit when it turns on. A handy remote allows me to adjust the settings. With no exposed heating elements, the oil filled chambers gradually warm the room and maintain it with much fewer on and off cycles, and no fan waking you up when it kicks on.

Love this little heater. Using it to heat my 1 bedroom condo instead of turning on my gas furnace. So far house is toasty warm at 73 degrees with the heater on low and temperature at medium. Definitely worth the purchase!!

pros the basic assembly can be done with one hand and actually warmed up the house quicker than the HVAC did when it worked and its on wheels so i can move it to only heat the room im in

this heater is a radiant heater it radiates heat. it does not blow it around, if that’s what you’re looking for you can just put a fan behind it to blow the heat around. an easy fix saves you the hassle of returning it to get something that does move air

the only con is the remote is trash it works only if you are pointed directly at the front or are within arms reach of it when you can just reach and adjust it manually

I researched this heater before buying it for a friend. They wanted some supplemental heat for a large sunroom. We are in Manitoba, so it gets very cold here. By all reports, the oil-filled heaters are the most efficient, as far as portable type heaters go. So far, my friends are very happy with this Pelonis heater and its features. Pelonis is also rated very highly, hence the decision to buy this brand.

The heater is great. It’s saved me a lot on energy bills and works very well, and continues to release heat for a while after it turns off. The only problem is the remote needs to precisely face the front of the heater to work, but the product itself is great! Occasionally, the heater has also started making a very odd buzzing sound that concerns me when it occurs. However, after turning the heater off and on again it always stops.

Overall this is great. It is silent, gives off a lot of heat, and looks nice.
